How Grays Peak Got Its Name

Grays Peak was named to honor two brothers, John Balfour Gray and Robert Hampton Gray. They were born in Trail, BC, and grew up in Nelson, BC. Both brothers were brave and served in World War II. Sadly, they both lost their lives during the war. To remember them, the Geographic Board of Canada officially named the mountain Grays Peak on March 12, 1946.
