Green Fields is a suburb in Adelaide, which is the capital city of South Australia. It is located about 13 kilometers north of the city center. This area mostly has buildings for businesses and small factories.
Getting Around Green Fields
Green Fields has its own train station called Greenfields railway station. This station is part of the Gawler railway line. It is located right next to Parafield Airport.
The Green Fields station is about 15.5 kilometers by train from Adelaide's main train station. It first opened in 1969. Back then, it was called 'Green Fields' on train schedules.
Green Fields is special because it is one of only two stations on the Gawler line that has a special tunnel for people to walk under the tracks. This is called a pedestrian underpass. Other stations used to have these, but they were closed because of worries about safety and damage.
