History of Green Valley
The community of Green Valley got its name because it is located in a beautiful, green valley. This name perfectly describes the area's natural surroundings.
A post office was first opened in Green Valley in 1907. This was an important place for people to send and receive mail. The post office served the community for many years. However, it eventually closed down on May 21, 2011.
