Greens Fork History
The town of Greens Fork gets its name from the Greens Fork river. The river and the town were both named after a Delaware Indian named Johnny Green. The Greens Fork post office, where people send and receive mail, has been open since 1828.
In 2002, the town built a new system to clean wastewater. This system helps keep the town and the Greens Fork River clean. It can clean about 40,000 gallons of water every day.
