About Greg Tait's Life Journey
Greg Tait grew up in Halls Creek, Western Australia. This area is part of the East Kimberley region. He is also a talented singer in the Kimberley Country Music scene. His first music album was called Silver Stallion.
Before becoming an actor, Greg had a long career as a policeman. He didn't have much acting experience at first. However, the director of Mad Bastards, Brendan Fletcher, was looking for a strong character. He met Greg and thought he was perfect for the role. Greg took time off from his police job to work on the film.
Greg left school when he was 12 years old. Later, he joined the Army Reserves. This helped him find a new path in life. By age 21, he became an Aboriginal Police Liaison Officer. He worked as a policeman for 17 years in Western Australia. He has shared his life story in Deadly Vibe magazine.
Today, Greg is an important member of the Ngarrawanji native title claim group. This group works on land rights for Indigenous people. He is also the vice-president of The Kimberley Stolen Generation Aboriginal Corporation (KSGAC). This organization supports Indigenous people affected by past policies.

Playing Texas in Mad Bastards
In the film Mad Bastards, Greg played Texas. Texas is a strong local policeman in a small Kimberley town. He tries to keep peace among the people and within his own family. Texas also helps start a men's group in the film.
In the story, Texas is the grandfather of a boy named Bullet. Bullet's father, TJ, is looking for him. Bullet gets into trouble, and Texas sends him to a special camp. This is instead of sending him to a detention center. Texas and TJ eventually have a big argument in the movie.
