Olympic Games Success

Gregor Stähli earned two bronze medals at the Winter Olympics. These are some of the highest honors in sports. He won his first bronze medal in the men's skeleton event at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

He then won another bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Winning two Olympic medals shows he was a very consistent and talented athlete.

Besides the Olympics and World Championships, Gregor Stähli also competed in the Skeleton World Cup. This is a series of races held throughout the season. The athlete with the most points at the end wins the overall title. Gregor was the overall men's Skeleton World Cup champion in the 2001–02 season.

Injury and Retirement

In November 2009, Gregor Stähli had a thigh injury during a World Cup competition. This injury made it impossible for him to compete in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. It was a tough moment for him, as he had hoped to compete in another Olympics.
