Guacara is a city located in Carabobo State, Venezuela. It is the main city and administrative center of the Guacara Municipality.
The city was officially founded in 1624. However, people from indigenous groups lived there long before that time. As of July 2009, about 178,000 people lived in Guacara.
Location and Geography
Guacara is found in the northeastern part of Lake Valencia. This lake is one of the largest in Venezuela. The city also has a river called the Vigirima River. This river flows into Lake Valencia.
Transportation Links
Guacara is well-connected to other major cities. It is linked to the main Caracas-Valencia motorway. This makes it easy to travel to and from the city. Guacara is also only about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) away from the city of Valencia.
History of Guacara
Guacara has a long history. It was a home for indigenous people before European settlers arrived. The official founding in 1624 marked its establishment as a Spanish settlement. Over the centuries, it grew into the city it is today.
