The area around Guadiaro is famous for its amazing golf courses. One of these courses even hosted the big Ryder Cup golf tournament in 1997! You can also find places to play polo here. If you love water, there are lots of exciting water sports to try.
Guadiaro's Ancient Past
Guadiaro has a long history. It's home to the archaeological site of Barbésula. This was once an old Roman city, showing how important the area was many centuries ago.

The local football team is called C.D. Guadiaro. It was started in 1973 by people from the town. Local businesses also helped the team get started.
Getting Around Guadiaro
It's easy to get to Guadiaro. You can use the A-2103 road, which connects to San Enrique de Guadiaro by a special Iron Bridge. The main highway, A-7, also has exits (130 and 132) that lead right to Guadiaro. Another road, the A-2100, goes from Guadiaro all the way to Castellar de la Frontera. In 2010, a new covered taxi stand opened, making it even easier to travel around.
