Gualta is part of an inland section of the GR 92 path. If you walk north from Gualta, the path leads towards Torroella de Montgrí. You would cross the Ter River to get there. If you walk south from Gualta, the path takes you through the nearby village of Fontanilles. This makes Gualta a stop for hikers exploring the region.
