The area where the Guaraní akodont was found is protected. It is part of Moconá Provincial Park. This park helps keep the natural habitat safe.

Threats to its Home

Even though the park protects some areas, the Guaraní akodont is still in danger. Forests near the park are being cut down. This is called deforestation. When forests are cut down, animals lose their homes. This makes it harder for rare animals like the Guaraní akodont to survive. Protecting its forest home is very important for its future.
