Guastatoya is a lively city in Guatemala. It is the main city and the biggest one in the El Progreso area. Imagine a fun place with a cool water park – that's Guastatoya! This city is about 73 kilometers (around 45 miles) away from Guatemala City, the country's capital. In 1976, a big earthquake hit the city, but it has since been rebuilt.

Do you like sports? Guastatoya has its own football (soccer) team called Deportivo Guastatoya. They play in the top league of Guatemalan football, which is like the major league for soccer in Guatemala. Their home stadium is called Estadio David Cordón Hichos.
