The Guilleries Massif, also known as Les Guilleries in Catalan, is a group of mountains in Catalonia, Spain. It is located where two important mountain ranges meet: the Catalan Transversal Range and the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range. These mountains are known for their beautiful nature and interesting history.
The highest point in the Guilleries is a peak called Sant Miquel de Solterra (or Sant Miquel de les Formigues), which stands at 1,204 meters tall. Other important peaks include Turó del Faig Verd (1,187 m), Rocallarga (1,187 m), and Sant Benet (1,149 m).

About the Guilleries Mountains
The Guilleries mountains form a unique natural area. They are part of the larger Catalan Mediterranean System. This area has special types of rocks that are not found everywhere.
Water for the City
Two very important reservoirs are located in the Guilleries area. These are the Pantà de Susqueda and Pantà de Sau reservoirs. They hold a lot of water that is used to supply the big city of Barcelona and its surrounding areas. These reservoirs are vital for daily life in the region.
A Place of Legends
Long ago, the Guilleries mountains were a hiding place for bandits and highwaymen. These were people who robbed travelers on the roads. Because of this, the mountains became famous for their adventurous and sometimes dangerous past.
