Guy Whimper (born May 21, 1983) is a former American professional football player. He played as an offensive tackle, which is a position on the offensive line. Offensive tackles help protect the quarterback and block for running backs.
Whimper was chosen by the New York Giants in the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at East Carolina University before joining the pros. After his time with the Giants, he also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Time with the Jacksonville Jaguars
Whimper joined the Jacksonville Jaguars in November 2010. While playing for the Jaguars, he had a very memorable moment. On October 28, 2012, he caught a pass for a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers. This was special because offensive linemen rarely catch passes or score touchdowns. He was released by the Jaguars in early 2013.
Playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers
In May 2013, Guy Whimper signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Many people thought he might not get much playing time. However, due to injuries to other players, Whimper got a chance to play. He performed very well in a game against the Baltimore Ravens. His good play surprised many fans and experts. The Steelers re-signed him for another year in 2014.
