Playing in Norway
In 2000, Gylfi moved to Norway to play for the club Lillestrøm SK. He was a great player there. During the 2004 season, he scored 13 goals in 26 matches. That's a lot of goals for a midfielder!
Time in England
After his time in Norway, Gylfi joined the English club Leeds United in January 2005. He played for Leeds for a few years. During his time there, he scored one important league goal. This goal helped Leeds win a match 1–0 against Burnley.
