Gălănești is a small community, or commune, located in the beautiful region of Suceava County, Bukovina, Romania. It's like a small town made up of two main parts: Gălănești itself and another village called Hurjuieni.
For a while, Gălănești commune also included a third village, Voitinel. However, in 2004, Voitinel became its own separate commune. This means it now manages its own local affairs.
