Håbo Municipality (called Håbo kommun in Swedish) is a special area in Uppsala County, located in east-central Sweden. It's like a local government district. The main town and where the local government offices are is called Bålsta.
This municipality was created in 1952 as part of a big change in how local areas were governed in Sweden.
Towns and Villages in Håbo
Håbo Municipality has a few important places:
- Bålsta (This is the main town and where the local government is based.)
- Slottsskogen
Since 2001, it's been easier to travel to and from Håbo. The Stockholm commuter rail system was extended to Bålsta Station. This means people in Bålsta can now easily switch to other regional trains, just like in bigger cities such as Märsta and Sundbyberg.
