Håvard Nielsen (born on July 15, 1993) is a professional football player from Norway. He plays as a forward for the German club Hannover 96 in the 2. Bundesliga. Håvard has also played for the Norwegian national team.

Club Career Highlights
Håvard Nielsen was born in Oslo, the capital city of Norway. He grew up in a neighborhood called Oppsal. He started playing football at his local club, Oppsal IF. When he was 14 years old, in 2007, he joined a bigger club called Vålerenga.
Early Career in Norway
On October 5, 2009, Håvard made his first appearance in the Norwegian Premier League. He played against Viking and became the youngest player ever to play for Vålerenga. In January 2011, he signed his first professional contract with Vålerenga, which lasted for three years.
By the time he was 18, Håvard was already a skilled player. On July 11, 2012, he scored three goals in one game for Vålerenga. This is called a "hat-trick," and it happened in a match against Odd Grenland.
Moving to Germany and Austria
In July 2012, Håvard signed a contract with Red Bull Salzburg, a team in Austria. Later, in January 2014, he moved to Germany to play for Eintracht Braunschweig on a loan. This team was in the top German league, the Bundesliga. He played his first game in the German league on January 26, 2014, against Werder Bremen. His loan ended in June 2015, and he went back to Red Bull Salzburg.
In the winter of 2015, Håvard moved to another German club, SC Freiburg. After playing there for about a year and a half, he signed a three-year contract with Fortuna Düsseldorf in July 2017. This team was in the 2. Bundesliga, which is the second-highest football league in Germany.
In January 2019, Håvard was loaned to MSV Duisburg. After that, on July 26, 2019, he joined Greuther Fürth, another club in the 2. Bundesliga. He signed a two-year contract with them.
Before the 2022–23 season began, Håvard Nielsen joined Hannover 96. This is also a club in the 2. Bundesliga, and he signed a two-year contract with them.
Playing for Norway
Håvard Nielsen has played for different national teams representing Norway since he was 16 years old. He often played for teams that were for older players than himself.
Youth National Teams
For example, he played in all the matches during the qualification rounds for the 2011 European Under-19 Championship. He even scored one goal in these games. His team, Norway U19, made it to the next stage of the competition.
Senior National Team
Håvard made his first appearance for the senior Norwegian national team in 2012, when he was still a teenager. He has played for Norway 14 times. He scored his first goal for Norway in November 2012, when he was just 19 years old. This goal was in a friendly match against Hungary. His second goal for Norway came in October 2014, during a qualifying game for the European Championship against Bulgaria.
