Haddy Jatou Njie (born June 25, 1979) is a talented Norwegian singer, songwriter, writer, and journalist. Her father is from The Gambia, and her mother is Norwegian. Haddy grew up in Kolbotn, a town near Oslo, and is the oldest of five children. Her younger sister, Lisa Aisato, is a well-known illustrator and writer of picture books.

Haddy Njie's Career Journey
Haddy Njie has had a busy career in media and entertainment. She worked as a reporter for a news program called Dagsrevyen. She also wrote articles as a columnist for the newspaper Dagbladet.
In 2010, Haddy was one of the hosts for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo. This is a very popular international music competition. She hosted it alongside Erik Solbakken and Nadia Hasnaoui. Haddy also hosted the annual TV-aksjonen, a big fundraising telethon on Norway's largest TV channel NRK 1. She hosted it in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2013.
Hosting Important Events
When Norway held a special ceremony on August 21, 2011, Haddy Njie hosted the TV broadcast. This ceremony remembered the 77 victims of the terrible attacks that happened in Norway that year. She also hosted the one-year memorial concert on July 22, 2012.
In 2011, she hosted the important sports award show called Idrettsgallaen. This show took place at the Hamar Olympic Amphitheatre. She hosted it with Erik Solbakken. In 2012 and 2013, she hosted the same show with Anne Rimmen. The show was broadcast on NRK.
Music and Comedy
Haddy Njie has toured Norway many times as a singer. She has also performed as part of a comedy group called Queendom. This group includes Haddy and four other black Norwegian women. They all have some African background. Their comedy often makes fun of Norwegians or Africans in a playful way.
In 2021, Haddy showed off another talent. She competed on the Norwegian version of the TV show The Masked Singer. She was dressed as the mermaid.

Haddy Njie's Family Life
Haddy Njie married Fredrik Lyngås Pedersen in 2010. They had been together for twelve years before getting married. The couple later ended their relationship in 2012.
In 2014, Haddy Njie shared that she was in a relationship with Trond Giske. He is a politician from the Labour Party. In September 2015, Haddy announced that she was going to have a baby. She and Trond Giske had a daughter in 2016.
