Erik Solbakken (born 17 November 1984) is a popular Norwegian television presenter. He is well-known for hosting many fun shows, especially for children. He also hosted the famous Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with Haddy Jatou N'jie and Nadia Hasnaoui.
Erik Solbakken's TV Journey
Erik studied journalism at Volda University College. He started working for NRK, which is Norway's main TV and radio company.
Hosting Kids' Shows
Erik hosted many children's shows. These included Barne-tv, Julemorgen, Krem Nasjonal, and Superkviss. He also worked on Barnetimen for de minste for NRK P2 radio.
Big Events and Competitions
In 2011, Erik hosted the big sports award show called Idrettsgallaen. He hosted it with Haddy N'jie from Hamar Olympic Amphitheatre. The show was broadcast live on NRK.
Also in 2011, he hosted the Eurovision Young Dancers competition in Oslo. Later, Erik hosted Melodi Grand Prix with Jenny Skavlan. This is the show where Norway chooses its song for the Eurovision Song Contest. They hosted it in 2013 and 2014.
