Erik Solbakken (born 17 November 1984) is a popular Norwegian television presenter. He is well-known for hosting many different TV shows. One of his biggest roles was co-hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. He hosted this big music event with Haddy Jatou N'jie and Nadia Hasnaoui.
Erik Solbakken's TV Career
Erik Solbakken studied to become a journalist at Volda University College. After his studies, he started working for NRK. NRK is Norway's main public broadcaster. He has hosted many shows, especially for children.
Shows for Kids
Erik hosted several fun children's shows. These included Barne-tv and Julemorgen. He also presented Krem Nasjonal and Superkviss. On the radio, he hosted Barnetimen for de minste on NRK P2. He helped make learning and entertainment fun for young viewers and listeners.
Hosting Big Events
In 2011, Erik Solbakken hosted the important sports award show Idrettsgallaen. He hosted it with Haddy N'jie from Hamar Olympic Amphitheatre. This show was broadcast live on NRK.
Later in 2011, he also hosted the Eurovision Young Dancers competition. This event took place in Oslo. Erik also helped choose Norway's song for the Eurovision Song Contest. He co-hosted Melodi Grand Prix with Jenny Skavlan. They hosted it in 2013 and 2014.
