Hagar Finer's Early Life and Training
Hagar Finer was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, on October 15, 1984. When she was 13 years old, she started learning martial arts. She quickly became the Israeli karate champion for her age group.
Switching to Boxing
At 17, Hagar decided to try boxing. Her coach, Raanan Tal, encouraged her to make the switch. From 2009 to 2012, a manager named Hezi Shayb helped her with her career. In 2012, she began training with a new coach, Lior David.
Hagar Finer's Boxing Achievements
Hagar Finer won her first major boxing title in 2009. This was the WIBF bantamweight championship. She won this title in a match against Oksana Romanova from Ukraine. The fight took place in Germany on October 10, 2009. Hagar won by a technical knockout in the sixth round.
Winning World Titles
Before becoming champion, Hagar had tried to win world titles in different weight categories. One of these fights was against the famous German boxer Regina Halmich on November 30, 2007. This was Halmich's last fight before retiring.
