Hagiga Mosby (born 12 June 2000) is an Australian athlete who plays rugby league. She is a winger, which is a player who runs on the side of the field. Hagiga plays for the Brisbane Broncos in the NRL Women's Premiership.

Before playing rugby league, she was a rugby union player. She played for the Queensland Reds in a competition called Super W.

About Hagiga Mosby

Hagiga was born on Thursday Island, which is in Queensland, Australia. She started her sports journey playing for the North Queensland Cowboys in a touch football league in 2018. Touch football is a game similar to rugby but without tackles.

Hagiga's uncle, Gideon Gela-Mosby, also played rugby league. He played for the Cowboys in the NRL for three seasons.

Her Sports Journey

In 2019, Hagiga played rugby sevens for the University of Queensland. Rugby sevens is a faster version of rugby union with fewer players. She also got to represent Australia in the 2019 Oceania Women's Sevens Championship.

In 2020, she joined the Queensland Reds team. This team plays in the Super W competition, which is a top rugby union league for women.

In December 2021, Hagiga decided to switch sports. She moved from rugby union to rugby league. She signed up to play with the Brisbane Broncos team.

Hagiga made her first appearance for the Broncos in Round 2 of the 2021 NRL Women's season. In her very first game, she scored a "try" against the Newcastle Knights. A try is how players score points in rugby league.
