Hailey Colborn (born October 10, 2000) is an American writer and blogger. She was crowned Miss Teen USA 2018. Hailey was the second person from Kansas to win this national title. The first was Keylee Sue Sanders in Miss Teen USA 1995.

Her Early Life and Education

Hailey Colborn was born in Wichita, Kansas. Her parents are Kevin and Denise Colborn. She studied classical ballet for 14 years. This is a type of dance that uses very specific movements.

While she was a student, Hailey started a special program called SelfPosi. She used this program to visit middle schools. She talked to girls about how important it is to love themselves.

Hailey finished high school at Wichita Northwest High School in 2018. She was the class president there. After high school, she went to Princeton University. She studied English Literature and graduated in 2022. As of 2023, Hailey leads an online community on TikTok. It is called "Hot Literati" and connects people who love to read.

Becoming Miss Teen USA

In 2017, Hailey Colborn joined the Miss Kansas Teen USA 2018 competition. She represented the Greater Wichita area. She won the competition and was crowned Miss Kansas Teen USA 2018. Before this, she was the first runner-up in the Miss Kansas' Outstanding Teen 2016 contest.

As Miss Kansas Teen USA 2018, Hailey got to represent Kansas at the Miss Teen USA 2018 competition. This event took place in Shreveport, Louisiana. The final competition was on May 18, 2018, at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum. Hailey won the title of Miss Teen USA 2018. She was chosen over Kirby Elizabeth Self from South Carolina, who was the first runner-up. Hailey was the second person from Kansas to win this big national crown.

Hailey's time as Miss Teen USA ended on April 28, 2019. She crowned Kaliegh Garris from Connecticut as the new Miss Teen USA. This happened at the Miss Teen USA 2019 competition in Reno, Nevada.
