Jasun Wardlaw (born April 6, 1973 – died October 22, 2003) was an American rapper. He was much better known by his stage name, Half a Mill. He came from Brooklyn, a famous part of New York City.
Half a Mill's Music Career
Half a Mill started making music in the early 1990s. At first, he was known as an "underground" rapper. This means his music was popular with a smaller group of fans, but not yet with everyone.
His big break came in 1997. He got to be a guest artist on an album by a supergroup called The Firm. This album, The Album, helped him become more widely known.
About Half a Mill's Life
Jasun Wardlaw had a son named Jasun Jabbar Wardlaw Jr. His son also became a rapper and an actor.
In 2010, a full-length movie was made about Half a Mill. It was a documentary called Player Hating: A Love Story. The movie was made by filmmaker Maggie Hadleigh-West.
Sadly, Jasun Wardlaw passed away on October 22, 2003, in Brooklyn.
