Hank Shaw (born July 30, 1970) is an American chef, writer, and outdoorsman. He is famous for his knowledge of wild foods. Hank shares recipes and tips on his website, Hunter Angler Gardener Cook. He has also written five cookbooks about preparing fish and wild game.

Early Life and Career
Hank Shaw was born in Westfield, New Jersey. He was the youngest of four children. He went to Stony Brook University and later earned a master's degree in history.
After college, Hank worked as a cook in restaurants. Then, he became a newspaper reporter. He wrote for several newspapers across the country. These included papers on Long Island, in Virginia, Minnesota, and California. He worked as a reporter until 2008.
