Hanson is a pop rock band from Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the United States. Three brothers, Isaac, Taylor, and Zac, started the band in 1992. They became very famous for their song "MMMBop" in 1997. This song was so popular it reached number one. It was even nominated for two Grammy Awards! Later, in 2003, the brothers started their own music company called 3CG Records.
The History of Hanson
When they first started, the band was called The Hanson Brothers. Their very first performance was in 1992. This happened at the Mayfest Arts Festival in their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Hanson released their first album, Boomerang, in 1995. In 1996, a big music company called Mercury Records signed them. This was an exciting step for the band. In 1997, Hanson released their third album, Middle of Nowhere. This album was a huge success! It sold ten million copies around the world. Five different songs from this album were released as singles. The first and most famous single was "MMMBop."
