Happy Faces are yummy biscuits (that's another word for cookies!) made by Jacob's Bakery Ltd. They are like a sandwich, with two pieces of shortcake biscuit holding a tasty filling of raspberry jam and cream. What makes them special is that each biscuit has a fun face printed on it, with holes for the eyes and mouth so you can see the yummy filling inside!

About Happy Faces Biscuits

Happy Faces are a type of biscuit (or cookie) that are very popular. They are made by a company called Jacob's. Each biscuit is made of two round pieces of shortcake. Shortcake is a sweet, crumbly type of biscuit. Between these two pieces, there's a delicious layer of sweet raspberry jam and smooth cream.

Their Unique Look

What makes Happy Faces biscuits so fun is their design! Each biscuit has one of five different happy faces pressed into the top. These faces have little holes where the eyes and mouth would be. This clever design lets you peek at the bright red jam and white cream filling inside. The biscuits are about 45 millimeters wide, which is roughly the size of a golf ball. They usually come in packs of 10, perfect for sharing or enjoying by yourself.

A Little Bit of History

Happy Faces biscuits have been around for a while! They were first made by a company called Nabisco Frears. For a time, in the mid-2010s, Happy Faces were not sold on their own. You could only find them in special Family Circle biscuit packs.

Good news for fans! In May 2023, the company McVities announced that Happy Faces were back! They started appearing on supermarket shelves again. Now, they are sold under the BN Brand.

Happy Faces in Other Countries

In the United States, a similar biscuit was made by a company called Nabisco. This version was called Giggles. However, Giggles biscuits are no longer made.
