Hardscrabble was a very small place in Indiana. It was an unincorporated community in Green Township, Madison County. This means it was a group of homes that didn't have its own local government.
In 1989, Hardscrabble had only four houses. The most people who ever lived there at one time was 16. It was a really tiny community!
Where is Hardscrabble?
Hardscrabble was located in the state of Indiana. You could find it where two main roads meet: Indiana State Road 38 and Indiana State Road 13. It was just south of a town called Lapel.
Some important spots in Hardscrabble included a white farmhouse. There was also a building called the Trinity Life Center. These were well-known places in the small community.
