Harriet Arline Forte Kennedy was an amazing American woman. She was a talented sculptor, a beautiful singer, and she helped run museums. She lived from 1931 to 1994.
Growing Up and Learning
Harriet was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She went to local schools there. Later, she studied at several important universities. These included the Massachusetts College of Art and Northeastern University. At Northeastern, she earned a bachelor's degree.
She also studied art at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. This was from 1960 to 1965. In 1965, she continued her studies at Boston University.
Her Amazing Career
Harriet started her career at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. This is a very famous museum. After that, she became the assistant director. She worked at the Museum of Afro-American Artists.
Harriet was also a wonderful singer. She was a coloratura soprano. This means she had a very high and flexible singing voice. She performed at many places around the Boston area.
Personal Life
Harriet Kennedy passed away in Medford, Massachusetts in 1994. She had three children. One of her children was a foster daughter.
