Harry LaRosiliere (born May 6, 1962) was an important leader for the city of Plano, Texas. He served as the 39th mayor of Plano. He was the first African-American person to hold this important job in Plano. He was first elected in 2013 and served for eight years until 2021.

Harry LaRosiliere's Story

Harry LaRosiliere was born in Haiti. He grew up in Harlem, a neighborhood in New York City. He went to Catholic schools there. Later, he studied at the City College of New York. He earned a degree in geology in 1985.

In 1994, Harry LaRosiliere moved to Texas. He started a career as a financial advisor. Before becoming mayor, he served on the Plano City Council for two terms. He also worked as a planning and zoning commissioner. These roles helped him learn a lot about how the city works.

He was first elected as mayor of Plano in 2013. He won against Fred Moses. He was re-elected for a second term in 2017. He served as mayor until 2021, when his term ended.
