Harry Edward Melling (born on March 17, 1989) is an English actor. He is well-known for playing Dudley Dursley in five of the Harry Potter movies. He also played Harry Beltik in the TV show The Queen's Gambit in 2020.

Harry Edward Melling was born in London, England. His grandfather, Patrick Troughton, was also a famous actor. Harry studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. This is a well-known acting school.

Playing Dudley Dursley
Harry was chosen to play Harry Potter's spoiled cousin, Dudley Dursley, when he was just 10 years old. He appeared in five Harry Potter films. His last appearance as Dudley was in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 in 2010.
By 2009, Harry had lost a lot of weight. He looked so different that people almost didn't recognize him! For his last Harry Potter movie, he had to wear a special fat suit to look like Dudley again. Harry said that losing weight helped him start a "new career" because people wouldn't just see him as Dudley anymore.

In 2009, Harry starred in a play called Mother Courage and Her Children. He also appeared in an episode of the BBC show Merlin. In Merlin, he played a young wizard. He also played Robert Brown in the BBC show Just William.
