History of Hartstown
Hartstown has an interesting past. One important building was the Dr. James White House. This house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. This list includes places that are important to American history. However, the house was removed from the list in 2004.

Two main roads meet in the center of Hartstown. These are U.S. Route 322 and Pennsylvania Route 18.

- PA 18 goes south about 11 miles (18 km) to Greenville.
- If you follow both highways together, they lead northeast about 5 miles (8 km) to Conneaut Lake.
