Hasan Gökhan Şaş (born August 1, 1976) is a famous Turkish football coach and former player. He was known for playing as a winger. A winger is a player who runs along the sides of the field. Their job is to help both attack and defend.
Hasan Şaş is especially famous for his time playing with Galatasaray. He also played a big role for the Turkish national team in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. During that World Cup, he was even chosen for the All-Star Team, which means he was one of the best players in the whole tournament!

Hasan Şaş started his club football journey in 1995. He was born in Karataş, a town in Adana, Turkey. His first team was Ankaragücü.
Joining Galatasaray
In 1998, Hasan Şaş joined Galatasaray. This was a big move for him. Soon after joining, he faced a temporary suspension from playing. This was due to a rule violation related to a substance test.
Winning Trophies with Galatasaray
Hasan Şaş returned to play for Galatasaray in the 1999–2000 season. This was a very successful time for the club. Galatasaray won the UEFA Cup title in 2000. They beat Arsenal in the final. After that, they also won the 2000 UEFA Super Cup.

Coaching Career
After his playing career, Hasan Şaş became a football coach. He worked as an assistant manager for his former club, Galatasaray. He held this role from 2011 to 2013 and again from 2018 to 2020. He resigned from his assistant manager duties on May 11, 2020.

Hasan Şaş married Sibel Yalçın on June 29, 2003. They later divorced in February 2014. They have two children together.
