Hasan Gökhan Şaş (born August 1, 1976) is a Turkish football coach and former player. He was known for playing as a winger.
Hasan Şaş is famous for his time playing with Galatasaray. He also played very well for the Turkish national team. This was especially true during the FIFA World Cup 2002. He was even chosen for the All-Star Team at that event. He was temporarily suspended from playing in 1998 because of a rule violation.

Playing for Galatasaray
In 1998, Hasan Şaş joined Galatasaray. He signed with them for $4.4 million. Soon after joining, he faced a temporary suspension from playing. This was due to a rule violation.
Hasan Şaş returned to play for Galatasaray in the 1999–2000 season. That year, Galatasaray won the UEFA Cup title in 2000. They beat Arsenal in the final match. After that, they also won the 2000 UEFA Super Cup.
In the Champions League during the 2000–01 season, Şaş played in 12 games for Galatasaray. He scored goals against big teams like Spain's Real Madrid and Italy's A.C. Milan. He also scored against the Brazil national team in the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
At the end of the 2008–09 Super Lig season, Galatasaray announced they would not renew his contract. Hasan Şaş decided to retire from professional football. He turned down offers to play in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
