Hattersville was once a small community, or "hamlet," located in the eastern part of Dallas County, Texas. It's no longer a separate town today.

The Early Days of Hattersville
A man named Boyd Hatter was the first person to settle this area. He helped start the community. Boyd Hatter also played a big role in creating a school there. This school was important for the children living in Hattersville.
Hattersville Joins Sunnyvale
In 1953, Hattersville changed. It joined with three other small towns nearby. These towns were Long Creek, Tripp, and New Hope. Together, these four communities formed a new, larger town called Sunnyvale, Texas. So, Hattersville became a part of Sunnyvale.
