The Haworth Art Gallery is a public art gallery located in Accrington, Lancashire, northwest England. It is famous for having the largest collection of Tiffany glass in Europe. This special glass comes from the studio of Louis Comfort Tiffany.
The museum is inside a house built in 1909. It was designed in a Tudor-style, which means it looks like old English houses. It was originally the home of William Haworth, who made textiles. In 1920, he gave the house to the people of Accrington. The gallery is set in nine acres of parkland.

The Amazing Tiffany Glass Collection
The Haworth Art Gallery has the biggest collection of Tiffany glass outside the United States. There are about 140 pieces of almost every type of Tiffany glass. This includes Favrile glass tiles, jewels, and mosaics.
How the Collection Arrived
This amazing collection was a gift from Joseph Briggs. He was a design apprentice who left Accrington when he was 17. He moved to the United States. There, he worked for Tiffany for 40 years, starting around 1892. In 1933, he sent his special Tiffany collection back home to Accrington.
Exploring the Tiffany Rooms
The Tiffany collection is always on display for visitors. It is shown in four special rooms. Each room has a different theme. These themes are 'Tiffany and Interior Design', 'Tiffany and the Past', 'Tiffany and Nature', and 'The Tiffany Phenomenon'.
Notable Tiffany Pieces
In the collection, you can see over 70 different vases. Some are 'Millefiore Paperweight' vases. Others are 'Intaglio' or cut-glass examples. There are also 'flowerform' vases that look like flowers. Some vases are even shaped like vegetables! You can also see 'Cypriote' and 'Tel-El-Amarna' vases. These were inspired by old Roman and Egyptian designs. The gallery also has samples related to big decorating projects Joseph Briggs worked on. One famous piece is his 'Sulphur-crested Cockatoos' mosaic.
Other Art at the Gallery
The museum also has a collection of other artworks. These are mainly oil paintings and watercolours from the 1800s. You can see works by artists like Frederic, Lord Leighton, Claude Joseph Vernet, and John Frederick Herring.
