Hemlock is a small village located in Perry County, Ohio, United States. In 2020, about 142 people lived there. The village was first started as Coaldale on June 15, 1869. It was then officially named Hemlock on July 15, 1872. Hemlock is also home to the Southern Local School District, which includes Miller High School and Millcreek Elementary School.

History of Hemlock
Hemlock began as a settlement called Coaldale on June 15, 1869. A few years later, on July 15, 1872, it was officially named Hemlock. The village got its name from a group of hemlock trees that grew near where the town was first built. There used to be a post office in Hemlock, but it closed on October 3, 1986.
