History of Henderson
In 1875, there were no buildings where Henderson is now. By February 1877, a community started to grow. Records show that people living there were forming a church.
The area was first called Potter. Later, railroad workers often stayed at local farmer Dave Henderson's home. They named the spot "Henderson Crossing," which later became just "Henderson." The city was officially planned out in 1880.
