Hennie Aucamp (born January 20, 1934 – died March 20, 2014) was a well-known South African writer. He wrote in Afrikaans, which is one of South Africa's official languages. Hennie was a talented poet and short story writer. He also taught at a university, sharing his knowledge with students.
Hennie grew up on a farm in the beautiful Stormberg highlands. He finished high school in Jamestown, Eastern Cape. After that, he went to the University of Stellenbosch for his higher education. He passed away in Cape Town when he was 80 years old.
