Colonel Henry Hervey Aston (born in 1759 – died 23 December 1798) was an English cricketer. He played for the Hambledon Club and was also a member of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). Henry Aston was known as a good batsman.

His Cricket Career
Henry Aston played in 13 important cricket matches between 1786 and 1793. These matches are known as "first-class" games. He was a useful batsman for his teams. He played for the Hambledon Club, which was one of the most famous cricket clubs of its time. He also played for the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Hampshire. His cricket career ended when his military duties became more important.
Life in the Military
In December 1793, Henry Aston became a Lieutenant-Colonel in the 12th Foot regiment. This was a high rank in the army. He later traveled to Madras (now called Chennai) in British India. In 1798, he was involved in a serious incident with another officer. He was injured and sadly passed away on 23 December 1798.
His Family Life
Henry Aston married Harriet Ingram-Shepherd on 16 September 1789. Harriet was the daughter of Charles Ingram, who was the 9th Viscount of Irvine. They had two sons together: Henry Charles Hervey-Aston and Sir Arthur Ingram Aston. They also had a daughter named Harriet. She later married Lieutenant-Colonel Edmund Henry Bridgeman.
