Later Life and Legacy
Henry Sadler passed away on March 17, 1618. This was just ten days after his oldest son died. He was buried in the Hungerford church.
In his will, Henry left his lands in Everleigh and Hungerford to his "well-beloved wife" Ursula for her lifetime. After her, the lands would go to the oldest surviving son from their marriage. He also left his daughter Joan a farm, some sheep, and a large sum of money. Henry wanted to make sure his son Francis would inherit his wealth only if he stayed in England and followed the family's religion. Francis Sadler eventually took over from his father.
