Henson is a ghost town in Colorado, USA. It's located in Hinsdale County. It sits very high up, at about 9,236 feet (2,815 meters) above sea level.
Over time, people spelled Henson's name in different ways. Some spellings were Hansen, Hanson, Hensen, or Honsen. But in 1896, the official United States Board on Geographic Names decided the correct spelling is Henson. The town was named after Henson Creek. This creek got its name from an early settler who lived there. Henson had its own post office from May 17, 1883, until November 30, 1913.
Henson is also where the Ute-Ulay Mine is located. This mine is now abandoned.
