Henvey Inlet 2 is a special area of land in Ontario, Canada. It is a First Nations reserve located on the northeastern shore of Georgian Bay. This reserve is one of two lands belonging to the Henvey Inlet First Nation.
What is Henvey Inlet 2?
Henvey Inlet 2 is a designated home for the Henvey Inlet First Nation community. It is found in the Parry Sound District of Ontario. This land helps preserve the culture and traditions of the First Nation people.
Making Clean Energy
This reserve is home to a large wind farm. There are 87 tall Vestas wind turbines here. These turbines use the power of the wind to create electricity. Together, they can produce 300 megawatts of power. That's enough clean energy for many homes! Building the wind farm started in August 2017. It began making electricity in July 2019.
