History of Hickory Corners
How Hickory Corners Got Its Name
The name "Hickory Corners" has a cool story! Back in 1914, a school was built here. This school was special because it had a big Hickory tree on each of its four corners. Because of these trees, both the school and the area around it became known as Hickory Corners.
Community Life Today
Even though it's not a city, Hickory Corners is a lively place. Today, there's a very active Community Center. It's located at 465 Laurel Hill Road, which is also Tennessee State Route 225 (often called SR 225). This center is a hub for local activities.

You won't find a Post Office right in Hickory Corners. Instead, mail services for this area, and most of Chester County, are handled by the Post Office in nearby Henderson, Tennessee.
Geography and Location
Hickory Corners is easy to find on Tennessee State Route 225. If you're traveling south from Montezuma, Tennessee or the Silerton Road, you'll come across it. The Old Friendship Road also runs along the southeastern side of the Hickory Corners community.
