A Look Back at Hickory Creek

Hickory Creek got its name from the nearby stream, also called Hickory Creek.

The town had a post office that opened in 1840. This post office helped people send and receive letters and packages. It stayed open for many years, but eventually closed in 1873. After the post office closed, the town slowly faded away, becoming the "ghost town" it is today.
