Hidemaro Watanabe (渡部 英麿, September 24, 1924 – October 12, 2011) was a Japanese soccer player. He was a goalkeeper who played for the Japan national team.

Early Life and Club Play
Hidemaro Watanabe was born in Hiroshima, Japan, on September 24, 1924. He loved playing soccer from a young age. After finishing high school, he went to Kokugakuin University. There, he continued to play soccer and improve his skills.
After university, Watanabe joined a club team called Chugoku Electric Power. He played as a goalkeeper for this team.
Playing for Japan
In 1954, Hidemaro Watanabe got a big chance. He was chosen to play for the Japan national team. This was a very exciting moment for him.
His first game for Japan was on March 14, 1954. It was a qualification match for the 1954 FIFA World Cup. Japan played against South Korea. Watanabe also played in the 1954 Asian Games that year. In total, he played 2 games for Japan in 1954.
Hidemaro Watanabe passed away on October 12, 2011, in Hiroshima. He was 87 years old.
