Higuera de Zaragoza is a city in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico. It's located in the northwestern part of the state, right by the Gulf of California. Imagine a map: Higuera de Zaragoza is found between two other places called Agiabampo and Topolobampo. It's not very high above sea level, only about 9 meters (around 30 feet).
In 2005, about 8,976 people lived in Higuera de Zaragoza. This makes it the third-largest town in its local area, called the Ahome municipality. The two bigger towns are Los Mochis and Ahome.

Higuera de Zaragoza has a warm climate. It gets very hot, especially in the summer months like July and August, when temperatures can reach over 40°C (104°F). Even in winter, the days are usually warm and sunny.
Most of the rain falls during the summer, from July to September. The rest of the year is quite dry. This kind of climate is common in areas near deserts or large bodies of water that influence the weather.
