How Hilltop Began

During the early 1900s, Hilltop was thriving. The mines were producing a lot, and the town had a lively community. To help the people living there, a Post office was opened on June 26, 1920. This made it easier for residents to send and receive mail.

Sadly, Hilltop's success didn't last forever. The economy of the town slowly started to decline after the 1900s. By the 1940s, most people had left, and Hilltop became what we call a ghost town. Today, it stands as a quiet reminder of its mining past.
