Hilly Creek is a small stream, about 1.95 mi (3.14 km) long, located in Halifax County, Virginia. It flows into the Hyco River. A stream that flows into a larger river is called a tributary. Hilly Creek is special because it is the only stream with this name in the entire United States.
Where Hilly Creek Flows
Hilly Creek begins in a pond near a place called Omega, Virginia. From there, it flows generally towards the southeast. Its journey ends when it joins the Hyco River. This meeting point is inside the John H. Kerr Reservoir, which is also known as Buggs Island Reservoir in Virginia. This spot is about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south-southeast of Omega.
