Hilly Gene Hicks Sr. was born on May 4, 1950. He is an American actor who appeared in many TV shows and movies. Later in his life, he became a clergyman.
Hilly Hicks's Acting Career
Hilly Hicks is perhaps best known for his role as Lewis Harvey. This was a character in the very popular TV mini-series called Roots. The show told an important story about American history.
Hicks also appeared in many other well-known television programs. These included Adam-12, The Rookies, and The Bill Cosby Show. He was also in Night Gallery, Hill Street Blues, and M*A*S*H. In M*A*S*H, he played two different characters. One was a soldier, and the other was an Army medic.
He also starred in Roll Out!, which was a sitcom created by the same people who made M*A*S*H. Hicks appeared in the TV movie Friendly Fire. He also acted in the big screen movies Gray Lady Down and Raise the Titanic.
In 1975, Hicks was a guest star in an episode of Barnaby Jones called "Dangerous Summer." He also played Robbie Robertson in the 1977 TV movie pilot for the CBS series The Amazing Spider-Man. You might also recognize his voice! He did voice acting for Hanna Barbera's 1970s Godzilla TV cartoon. One of his last roles was playing Brent in the film and mini-series Louisiana.
