Hindsboro's Railroad History
A long time ago, on November 30, 1874, a train line called the Illinois Midland Railroad opened. This line connected important cities like Terre Haute and Peoria. It passed right through Hindsboro, just north of the grain elevator. This railroad was very important for moving goods and people.
